Generic Medicines Congress 2009 - The Science of Our Times

The recent developments in global markets and subsequent ramifications have had a negative effect in the financial world. Although South Africa has not felt the full impact of the financial meltdown, we are experiencing the negative consequences of the global recession. Consumers are stretched on both sides - on the one hand they have less discretionary income and on the other side, due to inflation, the costs of medicines have escalated. This is where the South African generic companies have a positive impact in providing affordable, quality medicines.

To this end the National Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (NAPM) and local generic healthcare companies today show their commitment in presenting to you with pride; the Generic Medicines Congress 2009 - The Science of Our Times. The Generic Medicines Congress will take place on the 5th and 6th August 2009 at the Southern Sun Grayston Hotel in Sandton. Delegates from all professional disciplines, medical practitioners, pharmacists, academics, funders and bodies of influence in the pharmaceutical industry in both the public and private sectors are invited to attend.
